Shorrock Partners | Community and Charity

At Shorrock Partners, we recognise the tremendous responsibility we have to be a positive influence within our community, so we are always happy for the opportunity to give back.

We believe that community involvement is a defining tool of engagement for any business. We are therefore proud to play that pivotal role through our charitable giving, and we partner with our clients who desire to make similar contributions to charitable organisations.

For our part, we support a number of fundraising efforts by various charities including:

  • Westmead Children’s Hospital. This is a paediatric hospital that provides quality care for sick children in Australia and the Pacific Rim. We are happy to support the tremendous work they do in providing specialist care, which is not available elsewhere in NSW.
  • Jeans for Genes Day. This is an annual fundraiser of the Children’s Medical Research Institute, for helping children with genetic disorders.
  • Northcott. A not-for-profit organisation that provides services to people with disabilities, and also their family and carers

We have also undertaken pro-bono work for Youth Food Movement in Australia, and other not-for-profit organisations.

Services to Clients involved in charitable giving

We also assist clients who want to foster positive relations with the community. We help them to set up a Private Ancillary Fund (PAF), a tax exempt philanthropic trust that allows them to achieve their charitable goals. If appropriate we can assist in establishing a Public Charity.

Our services include:

  • Setting up the PAF with legal advisors
  • Managing the donation program
  • Preparation of accounts and compliance and also coordinate the audit with a third party
  • Providing the level of corporate governance required by the legislative framework.

At Shorrock Partners we go beyond accounting, so we have an unwavering commitment to contribute to our community, and also assist those who are often the most vulnerable.
